The Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
would like to assist you with your convention and event arrangements.
Our Services Department is most willing to provide you with the
following assistance when staying at a local hotel.
Pre-Convention Planning
Our sales representatives will take you on an inspection tour
of Greensboro's facilities. The Greensboro Area Convention &
Visitors Bureau will provide information on facilities, attractions,
and assistance to help increase your attendance. We will prepare
and submit formal bid proposals as well as contact hotels and
meeting/event facilities to reserve the accommodations that meet
your needs. The Greensboro Area Conventions & Visitors Bureau
has multimedia presentations to help planners sell Greensboro
to their group, and a Meeting Planners Guide that will prove to
be a valuable organizing tool.
Program Assistance
The Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will assist
you in locating resources regarding local caterers, florists,
photographers, office equipment, promotional materials, souvenir
ideas, security personnel, and all your tradeshow and exhibit
needs. We will help you plan spouse programs, sightseeing tours,
and children's activities. Step on guides are also available for
a nominal fee. If you need guest speakers, entertainment, or discount
coupons to attractions, the Convention & Visitors Bureau can
help make this possible. Sample tour itineraries for pre and post
conventions and events are listed in our Visitors Guide. We will
assist with arranging a welcome address from city dignitaries
and/or letters from the Mayor of Greensboro and the Governor of
North Carolina.
Destination Literature
There are a wide variety of descriptive guides and tabletop booths
available along with a video and a DVD on area attractions. The
number of complimentary guides and poly bags is based on hotel
room usage. Additional quantities are available for a nominal
fee.
